Established in 1940, LCEC is a not-for-profit electric distribution cooperative serving a five-county area in Southwest Florida.
The service territory includes Cape Coral, North Fort Myers, Marco Island, Sanibel and Captiva Islands, Pine Island, Everglades City, Immokalee and parts of Lehigh Acres.
LCEC is one of the largest electric cooperatives in the nation with more than 6,000 miles of distribution and transmission lines. We are one of the largest employers in Lee County with more than 350 employees.
Cooperative membership is open to all customers within the service territory and customers have received equity returns for more than 15 years.
We maintain delicate balance with the environment by recycling efforts, partnerships with environmental agencies and protecting precious wildlife.
