Why we're different: Jim and Bev value their clients and have done repeat business for several of their past customers. They enjoy Southwest Florida and are passionate about their work. They want to help everyone they can in the painting, faux finishing and redecorating of their homes to make them even more beautiful, reflecting on both the architecture of the home and the personality of the owner.

Hanson's Home Highlights, Inc. a painting, decorative faux finishing and home repair business began in November of 2001, just shortly after Jim and Bev Hanson, formerly of Minnesota, moved to Southwest Florida. Jim had owned and operated a professional cleaning company in Moorhead, MN for 29 years. Bev was a homemaker, Weight Watcher lecturer, piano teach and mother.
Focusing their talents and efforts on something they truly enjoyed, the couple soon found themselves busy with referrals from satisfied customers. In addition to working with individual property owners, many referrals and contracts have come from respected design houses in the area. Jim and Bev pride themselves on doing quality work, having a strong work ethic and making sure the client is satisfied.
Bev does the majority of the faux finishing while Jim enjoys repainting and repairing homes on the interior as well as the exterior.
Bev has a gift for choosing the correct color palettes for the rooms she works with. She readily assists the homeowner with options on color and paint or faux techniques. She is available to help choose colors at any time and there is no additional charge for this service.
Jim can repair walls that may have been damaged or eliminate the evidence where old fixtures once were, making them totally smooth again. Textured surfaces can be repaired with equal invisibility. He also can supply and install such features as chair rail if desired. Jim’s mastery of surface refinishing is the perfect complement to Bev’s artistic skills.
